Dragonfly

Dragonfly

In order to capture the essence of this dragonfly, I had to lay down in the grass, cheek pressed to the ground and shoot upward into the overcast sky. That is a blade of grass he is resting on. The photo was taken in southern Florida, where dragonflies dance all over the ground. There was one of his kind about every 6 square inches over the entire area I was shooting in.
