Feathers of Fluff

One Mother's Day morning I happened upon a gaggle of goslings who were just old enough to be venturing out on their own.

Shhhhhh, gosling sleeping.

It was hard to tell which of the larger geese were the "Momma's" but it felt like a but of fluffy Mother's Day magick to me.

Simplicity

Have you ever wondered whether the roots of a tree might look like the branches that sprawl into the sky, if you shook the dirt from them, and gave them air?

Humming Along

The hummingbird is such a delicate creature to watch as they flit from one branch to another. I wait for them each year, as the sun warms the sky, so that I too can become part of their world. If I sit quietly beneath them, I can take pictures of them all afternoon.

A couple of years ago, I realized that if I kept the colour of my clothing close to the colour in the nature around me, they were rarely bothered by me... as long as I moved slowly.

The Liebster Award

To be recognized for something is a wonderful feeling, especially when it is least expected. Photography and writing are two of my most favorite things, I share both with the world on some level, and Kat has been kind enough to share this award with me. Thank you Kat!

According to Dawn:
The origins of the Liebster Blog award are somewhat unclear but the general consensus is that it originated in Germany, Liebster meaning favorite or dearest, to showcase bloggers with fewer than 200 followers. Upon accepting the award the recipient must then pass it on to five more blogs of note.

The five blogs I chose are:

Kathy the Giggling Truckers Wife

Tim O - Who Never Really Wanted to be a Fireman

Daph at My Distant Husband

Pleasing to the Eye

Christopher, who is more than Just Another Government Employee

I am passing the torch to those whom I find just as deserving of recognition.
